Bell Helicopter said it has donated $5,000 to support the U.S. Army Aviation Museum. Bell's EVP presented the donation to retired Lt. Gen. Daniel J. Petrosky, the chairman of the Army Aviation Museum Foundation Board of Directors at last week's Army Aviation Assn. of America's Mission Solutions Summit in Atlanta, Georgia.


Atherton noted Bell's longstanding involvement with the Army back to 1948 with the first Army helicopter, the Bell H-13B Sioux.


The Fort Rucker, Alabama, museum maintains a collection of more than 160 military aircraft, including several Bell aircraft.
