Tips:Amazon pushes Prime Air delivery drone or launches service within a few months

Recently, at the Re:MARS conference in Las Vegas, Amazon released a new version of the delivery drone Prime Air, and announced that it will launch drone delivery service in the next few months.

Jeff Wilke, Amazon's global consumer business CEO, said that only if the service is secure enough, users will accept it without any concerns. Amazon's drones are "as stable as commercial aircraft." It can move in 3D space, and the sound is very small, the user won't even feel it coming.

The Prime Air drone can fly 24 kilometers and carry 5 pounds (about 2.26 kilograms) of heavy cargo, users can receive their goods within 30 minutes. The PrimeAir drone uses a thermal imager, depth camera and detection sensor. Machine learning algorithms and onboard computers automatically recognize obstacles and bypass them. The drone needs a blank space and will not land if someone is active.

At the same time, Amazon is also facing severe competition. Google has also launched its own drone delivery plan Project Wing, and has conducted small-scale tests in Finland and Australia. Moreover, in April of this year, Wing became the first drone company in the United States to obtain official aviation certification, which means that Wing can provide commercial drone transport services to users in residential and office areas.
