Tips:Japanese companies want to snap in the birthplace of Chinese drones

Japanese media said that Japanese drone start-up company Aeronext is embarking on the Chinese market. The company will use Shenzhen, the birthplace of the drone industry, as a base to build a cooperation system with local companies in the field of development and marketing. According to the report, it is rare for Japanese companies to start their business in Shenzhen and expand their business. This may also become a new entrepreneurial model for Japanese companies.

Reasons for choosing Shenzhen

According to "Nikkei Business News" reported on August 22, Aeronext is a drone-related technology development company founded in 2017. The company has its own patents on the center of gravity control technology of the drone, which enables the separation of the "hands and feet" related to flight such as propellers and motors and the "body" equipped with cameras and controls the center of gravity.

According to reports, Aeronext established a local legal entity in Shenzhen in May this year. Shenzhen is centered on the hardware sector and has a wealth of talent. There are also many entrepreneurial accelerators that support trial production and initial financing. The company will use local ecosystems to increase development and business speed. In June, Aeronext partnered with Shenzhen Corbett Aerospace Technologies, which has advantages in the use of drones in measurement and security. In addition, it also cooperates with Shenzhen Zhihang UAV (the company has advantages in the field of vertical take-off and landing drones), and strives to open up the market in the logistics field.

Shenzhen has many UAV-related companies such as DJI Innovation, the world's largest consumer-class UAV manufacturer, and has sufficient test flight facilities. Aeronext CEO Tian Luguifu said that in the time of the test flight, Japanese companies should be 100 times behind Chinese companies.

Chinese market size

The report pointed out that in China, the small drone market is expanding. China's Dajiang Innovation provides agricultural enterprises with services for spraying pesticides and mastering crop growth in Heilongjiang and Xinjiang. In addition, drones have been introduced in places such as fire fighting activities in high places. The fire departments of cities such as Dalian and Chengdu have promoted the test equipment for drones this year and plan to use them to extinguish fires at the heights of buildings. E-commerce Jingdong has started the distribution of drone products centering on the overpopulated area, and has started trials in overseas areas such as Indonesia.

"Nihon Keizai Shimbun" believes that in China, the practical and steady advancement of drones will generate new demand and form a virtuous circle to promote enterprise development.

The survey company, US Vision Research, predicts that the world commercial drone market in 2018 will be 5.8 billion US dollars (1 US dollar is equivalent to 7 yuan). Although the calculation methods are different, in the world market, China has a huge proportion in any case.
