Tips:Qatar Airways takes the lead in using IATA's carbon trading market

On December 20th, IATA (International Air Transport Association) and Qatar Airways confirmed that Qatar Airways has become the first airline to trade at ACE (International Air Transport Association Aviation Carbon Trading Center).

ACE is a unit wher airlines and other aviation stakeholders can trade carbon dioxide for the purpose of compliance or voluntary offset. According to IATA, ACE provides the highest level of transparency in carbon trading prices and availability, while simplifying the process for airlines to enter the carbon market to achieve decarbonization goals.

Qatar Airways said in a statement: "IATA and Qatar Airways have reached another milestone, which will encourage the carbon trading market to respond to the needs of the aviation industry." "This initiative provides an opportunity to streamline the process to ensure that ICAO ( The successful implementation of the "International Aviation Carbon Offset and Reduction Program" adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization has also provided support for the successful implementation of the voluntary offset program."
