Baotou sees future in UAV manufacturing

Tips:Baotou, the largest industrial city in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is boosting the prestige of its aviation industry through the development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), Baotou Daily reported on Aug 3.

Baotou has long been committed to developing its aviation industry by encouraging investment and furthering cooperation with aviation companies. Last year, the city won the contract for a UAV project, marking new progress in its development, as it is Inner Mongolia's first UAV project.

Early in 2016, an aviation company in the Baotou Rare-Earth Hi-Tech Zone completed preparations for manufacturing UAVs, all of which can be widely used in agriculture, exploration of land and resources, patrolling borders, data collection and aerial photography.
