    Government and Civil Flight

Bristow Academy offers government and civil flight training. The Academy’s philosophy is that what one learns first, one learns best. Safety, professionalism, and theoretical knowledge are the foundation of its training solutions to develop professional aviation leaders who are equipped with a foundation of life-long behavioral traits that foster continued professional growth, improvement, and enhanced personal standards.

Bristow Academy offers a wide range of value-based helicopter flight training solutions that can be customized to meet the end-users needs. Flight training is organized in three broad disciplines: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA); and Military Training, including High Altitude Training. Bristow Academy’s commercial training programs meet or exceed the requirements of the FAA and EASA. Aircraft training platforms include the Sikorsky 300CBi, Bell 206, Robinson 44, and AW109 helicopters. Bristow Academy has the capability to obtain, as needed, additional training platforms such as the Bell 212, 412, and 407 models, as well as others, to suit customer requirements.

Bristow Academy is approved to train U.S. and foreign military personnel who meet the approval of the U.S. government. Rigidly structured military training is conducted by a core of highly experienced former military Instructor Pilots (IP), many with Special Operations and Combat flying experience. Content of the training, as well as the style and emphasis of the school, is entirely military. Students wear the uniform of their home country and the formalities of military life are evidenced throughout the program. Programs are taught in English or Spanish, with a student to instructor ratio of 2:1.

Bristow Academy specializes in providing customized group training programs that are built to meet individual needs by first understanding end-user requirements then reverse-engineering the training solution. Group contract training agreements can include training and domestic needs, and provide additional training platforms as requested.
