When one obtains a Private Pilot’s License, the skies are open to you to fly just about anywher you want. You are allowed to carry passengers, and travel to new places in a variety of aircraft. Typically, a private pilot license takes about $8,000-$10,000 to obtain over about six months. This range in cost is determined by how consistently you are doing your lessons, and how proficiently you prepare yourself with self-study and ground instruction. Though the FAA minimum for certification is 40 hours, most take about 65 to 70 hours to proficiently complete all the requirements. In getting certified as a Private Pilot, you can look forward to learning how to take off and land safely, navigate and communicate in the national airspace system and more! Your training will culminate in you learning how to fly to new places, operate an aircraft at night, and pilot an aircraft on your own to just about wherver you please.
