mini GPS SBAS is a satellite receiver that utilizes the signals coming from Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite constellation and satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS). Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) is one example of SBAS. It also support EGNOS, MSAS and GAGAN to the extent they are compatible with WAAS.
These are GPS receiver CCAs designed and conformed to meet the requirements of US FAA TSO C145c and intended to be embedded in various avionics products produced by other manufacturers. Their primary function is to provide aircraft position, aircraft velocity and precise time and provide the output to the host system, such as a transponder.
