The following prerequisites will need to be met :

35 hours cross country pilot in command (PIC)

25 hours simulated instrument

Completed FAA written exam

Private pilot ASEL

FAA training minimums for this certificate : Hold a class 3 medical certificate, log at least 50 hours of cross country training flight time as PIC with a total of forty hours of actual or simulated flight hours and pass FAA written and practical exams.
