  • Description
  • Classic Wings aircraft are used for sightseeing, flight training and rental. Our fleet consists of the following aircraft:

    Cessna 150L

This is the workhorse of our flight school, as it is the most affordable option for learning to fly. The 150, a two-seater with a 100 horsepower engine, burns an average of only 5 gallons an hour. This enables pilots to receive flight training and/or build hours while burning a low amount of fuel (and cash). Equipped for VFR flight only.

    Cessna 172H

A step up from the Cessna 150, the 172 holds four seats and has a 145 horsepower engine, allowing for faster travel and longer distances. The 172 is a good choice for a day trip or even an overnight adventure. See our Rental Policy for more information. Equipped with a VFR GPS. Capable of both VFR and IFR flights.

    Cessna 140

The Cessna 140 is a conventional gear (tailwheel) airplane. This aircraft lends itself to preparation for the tailwheel endorsement, grass and dirt field takeoffs and landings, or even spin training. The 140 has a 100 horsepower engine and can only be used for VFR flight. A tailwheel endorsement is required for rental.

    Cessna 182F (Skylane)

The 182 is primarily used for our aerial tour operations because it enables us to gain altitude in the shortest amount of time. We also permit rental of the Skylane for those far-away day trips. A high performance endorsement is required for this plane, as it has a 235 horsepower engine. Equipped for VFR flight only.   Cessna 182 Weight and Balance
