Course 1 : The ATP [A] integrated “ab initio” training
Since 2009, the school is proposing this 2-year curriculum, entirely in English, via its Cannes Aviation Academy stream.
The purpose of the ATP[A] integrated course is to train commercial pilots “ab initio” and bring them up to the skills level required to be first officers or co pilots on multi-pilot, multi-engine airplanes in commercial air transport service
The instruction is highlighted with issuance of following JAA/EASA aeronautical titles:
(1)Airline Pilot theory certificate (14 certificates altogether)
(2)CPL[A] Commercial Pilot Licence
(3)IRME[A] and MEP(t) ratings for instrument flight on multi-engine aircraft
(4)MCC multi-pilot working certificate
(5)Aeronautical English Certificate (FCL 055)
Classes start in September and January each year. Each year’s graduating class has 15 students at the most, which ensures high-quality instruction. Student entrance is based on written application and selection tests. Also open to PPL pilots who can shorten their curriculum and thus gain a saving on fees.
Course 2 : ATP [A] modular training
For pilots (beginners or PPL holders) who have to take their course in phases due to financial constraints or professional or family demands.
The modular curriculum has 3 basic modules:
1) Preparation for the CPL:
This preparatory training is for certified private pilots holding a PPL-SEP (or MEP) who want to enrol for a CPL-IRME course but who must first increase their flight hours and/or improve their skills (maturing phase).
based on acquiring blocks of hours (20 to 50 hrs. or more, with a minimum of 20), this training involves a tailor-made, one-to-one solo flight instruction programme with a few flights on dual flight time.
Meanwhile, you can also round out your theory skills with ground courses.
Prerequisites:
(1)You must have a valid Class I or II medical certificate
(2)You must hold a PPL(A) and a valid SEP or MEP licence.
(3)You must have passed a training course in the DA40 VFR and/or DA40 EFIS differences.
2) ATPL theory:
To obtain the 14 Airline Pilot theory certificates in 10 to 12 months.
On-site training in English.
ATPL theory is a prerequisite before moving onto the CPL-MEP & IRME course. To be admitted to the ATPL theory course, you must hold a PPL licence and pass selection tests.
3) CPL-MEP & IRME training:
This module takes you through the most important step toward obtaining your twin-engine IFR rating tagged on to your commercial pilot licence.
The instruction leads to obtaining the following JAA/EASA titles:
Commercial Pilot Licence CPL[A]
IRME[A] and MEP(t) ratings for instrument flight on multi-engine aircraft
Prerequisites:
(1)You must have a valid Class I medical certificate
(2)You must hold a CPL(A)+IR(A) or ATPL(A) theory certificate.
(3)You must hold a PPL(A) private pilot licence.
(4)You must hold a valid Single Engine Piston (SEP) rating.
(5)You must have at least 172 flight hrs. including:
- At least 100 flight hours as pilot in command.
- At least 50 hrs. of cross-country flight.
- A flight of at least 300 NM with 3 complete landings.
- 5 hours of Night Flight.
Past the Diamond Star DA40 evaluation test (approximately 1 hr. 30 min).
