The S61 was originally conceived as an amphibious aircraft for offshore operations. Over the years, due to its great capacity to transport cargo, it also came to be seen as an efficient solution for support operations for transport to onshore rigs.
This aircraft can be adjusted for up to 19 passengers or transport up to 3 tons of cargo. In Brazil the S61 is also used for external cargo operations in the Amazon, widely available, performing excellently in this type of mission.
