Our Enstroms have been outfitted for instrument training as well. An invaluable course, learning instruments will make any person a better pilot. Instrument training will give any pilot a more in depth understanding of our National Airspace System, services available to pilots while in the air, and a deeper understanding of reading gauges and interpreting what story they are telling. A pilot will become more precise, safer, and efficient during VFR, IFR, night, or limited visibility situations.
Many Helicopter operators, such as those in the EMS field, require pilots to have an instrument rating in order to be eligible for hiring. Also pilots flying their own equipment will generally see an insurance reduction in their premiums by havin an instrument rating.
