    RWL provides Part-FCL certified ground school and simulator type training to major airlines in Europe. RWL offers this same quality training to suitably qualified private individuals who desire type rating training on the Boeing 737 series.

    The FSTD training meets requirements in accordance to AMC2 ORA.ATO.125 and includes additional lessons for jet-orientation and MCC review.

    Standard Boeing Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Boeing Call outs will be used.


    The training course

    The theoretical part of the course consists of Computer based Training (CBT) and Classroom Instruction spread over 3 weeks including Flight Management System (FMS) training as well as Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) training.

    The practical Type Rating (T/R) training comprises in case of the initial course 40 hours B737 full flight simulator spread over 2,5 weeks. For those who choose the core course we provide 32 training hours on a full flight simulator.

    RWL training exercises include students as crew members in 20 hours Pilot Flying and 20 hours Pilot Monitoring roles (16/16 core course). Upon successful completion of the course the applicants will undergo a License Skill Test (LST).

    Requirements

    The trainee of the type rating course shall hold a valid class 1 medical certificate.

    An applicant for the first type rating course for a multi-pilot aeroplane shall be a student pilot currently undergoing training on an MPL training course or comply with the following requirements:

    • shall have sufficient knowledge of the German and / or English language to follow the training course and shall comply with the language proficiency requirements according to FCL.055
    • have at least 70 hours of flight experience as PIC on aeroplanes
    • hold a multi-engine IR(A)
    • have passed the ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge examinations
    • hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of an MCC course in aeroplanes;

    or

    • hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of MCC in helicopters and have more than 100 hours of flight
    • experience as a pilot on multi-pilot helicopters; or
    • have at least 500 hours as a pilot on multi-pilot helicopters; or
    • have at least 500 hours as a pilot in multi-pilot operations on single-pilot multi-engine in commercial air transport in accordance with the applicable air operations requirements.
    • The applicant for the B737 300-900 course shall provide:
    • Proof of identity (identity card or passport)
    • Declaration on pending criminal proceedings

    Completion Standards and Training Objectives

    • Compliance with SOP / ATC procedures, standard call out and briefings
    • Adequate aircraft system knowledge and handling of systems
    • Safe, correct and timely handling of abnormals in regards to usage of QRH and FCOMs
    • Correct use of automated system and manual flying
    • Correct use of FMS
    • Adherence to CRM FORDEC principals
    • Adequate Interpersonal Competence in the areas of:
    • Teamwork / Communication / Conflict Solving
    • Leadership / Maintaining Standards / Workload Management
    • Situation Awareness / Decision Making
