    Whether you do it for fun, just to enjoy the pleasure of flight, or because you are starting your training towards a professional career, the Private Pilot Course (PPL) is your first step into the aviation world.


    No other course opens as many possibilities for your future than havin a PPL ticket: you can progress through a different types of helicopters and activities that will give you an entire new perspective to the world of aviation.


    Besides, you can advance your training adding new type ratings such as the Robinson R44 advanced Helicopter or class ratings such as the Instrument Rating (IR) to allow you to fly at night or in bad weather.


    And, at any time, you can transition from your PPL to a Professional career through the Modular CPL  or Modular ATPL courses, so it is an investment that may pay up for itself in the future!!!

    Barcelona Flight School is an authorized centre by the Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea under EASA Part-FCL with the ATO number E-ATO-037 to provide flight training, with over 60 years of experience.


    COURSE STRUCTURE

    GROUND TRAINING

    The course is composed of 100 hours of ground school covering the following subjects:

    Air Law and ATC procedures

    Meteorology

    Navigation

    Communications

    Human Performance

    Operational Procedures

    Flight Principles

    Aircraft Performance and Flight Planning

    Aircraft General Knowledge

    FLIGHT TRAINING

    The flight training phase is composed of 45 hours of instruction, on a agreed schedule with the instructor, and can be done on both available fleet types:

    Robinson R22

    Robinson R44

    COURSE DURATION

    The approximate duration of the course is 2 months, allowing the student to complete the ground school and flight training simultaneously.

    COURSE REQUIREMENTS

    Applicants must comply with the following:

    Being over 17 yo

    Being able to pass a Class II Pilot Medical Exam
