  • Our Integrated Professional Pilot Program is designed for students with no or limited previous experience. It is a highly structured and comprehensive program that focuses on your goal of becoming a First Officer with an airline such as Icelandair, Scandinavian Airlines, Norwegian or Ryanair. The duration of the program is approximately 18 months and requires a high level of discipline and motivation. Upon completion you can be certain to have gained the skills and attitude required to succeed as a future airline pilot. The program comprises the following:

    198 flight hours

More than 750 hours class room instruction

MCC on a Boeing 757 full flight simulator

The Integrated Professional Pilot Program consists of both theoretical and practical training, designed to help you achieve your dream profession within the shortest period of time. The flight training is composed of five phases with theoretical training taking place simultaneously, and in between, periods of flight training. Graduates of the Integrated Professional Pilot Program at Keilir Aviation Academy will have gained valuable experience of operating modern aircraft in and out of demanding airports under challenging weather conditions. This ensures you will obtain skills and experience valued by airlines and will give you an advantage when applying for a job.

Keilir Aviation Academy aims to be at the forefront of teaching, and utilizes the latest learning technologies, including the theoretical platform developed by the market’s leading training provider, CAE Oxford Aviation Academy. Most training takes place at the Keilir Aviation Academy headquarters at Keflavik International Airport. Here you will find first-class teaching facilities along with a diverse and rewarding college life. In the classroom, students study together under the guidance of experienced instructors in a stimulating environment. The last part of your training will be completed in a Boeing 757 full motion simulator. The focus is to prepare you for the daily operation in an airline, making the transition to a multi-crew pilot environment easier.

Our location at Keflavik International Airport provides numerous opportunities for field trips and visits to the businesses that operate in the immediate surroundings. Past students have visited Boeing and Airbus aircraft under periods of crosswind testing as well as military aircraft patrolling Icelandic airspace. Iceland is ideal for various aircraft manufacturers to conduct test flights because of its unique challenges such as the high wind velocities. Throughout the course seminars are held – led by guest lecturers from various sectors of the aviation industry.
