    Objectives
    Our new Air Traffic Controller (ATC) course for pilots is aimed at pilots in possession of a CPL license that wishes to obtain the basic ATC license. Said license is a mandatory requisite in order to work at an air traffic control station as an ATC.

    Requirements
    • Minimum age of 18 years old by the time that he course ends
    • Having passed 2nd of bachillerato or COU (pre-University course), equivalent studies or an entrance examination in AEROTEC.
    • Being able to obtain a class 3 medical certificate.
    • Have an OACI Level 4 English aptitude
    • Pass the Eurocontrol FEAST test
    • Have an operative CPL/IR liense, or pass a frozen ATPL modular course
    • Pass SAERCO's own psychotechnical tests and personal interview

    Initial Basic training
    This course section has the following subjects:
    Introduction, Air Law (partial convalidation), Air traffic management (partial convalidation), Aeronautical Meteorology (total convalidation), Air navigation (total convalidation), Aircraft general knowledge (total convalidation), Human Performances and Limitatons (toal conversion); Avionics, electrics and electronics (total convalidatio), Professional enviroment, Air safety and safety culture, Unusual and Emergency situations, Degraded systems, Linguistic knowledge, civil aviation national security procedures.

    Airfrield control (theoretical stage)
    This course section has the following subjects:
    Airport knowledge, Aeronautic vocabulary; Airport enviroment, Note registry; Contingency plans, Self-defense plans, AIP.

    Airfield control (Simulator stage)
    All simulation exercises have been desigend in compliance with the 5th of July 2010 Order FOM/1841/2010, which stablish the requirements needed in order to properly certify the teaching institutions able to impart ATC training, and the Eurocontrol October 2008 directive about common core content for ATC training.

    Course duration
    The theoretical part of the course last for 6 weeks + 2 weeks of additional test retries, talling up to a total of 128 study hours divided in 50 sessions of 50 minutes each (lasting for about 2 months).
    The simulation stage of the course consist of 50 sessions of 50 minutes each (lasting for 3 months aproximately). Simulator sessions will be performed individually and they will be adapted and programmed flexibly in order to better suit the personal agenda of each student.
