Every certificate has specific requirements, but generally you will need to:
Obtain a Student Pilot and Medical Certificate from an Aviation Medical Examiner
Receive flight and ground instruction from flight instructor on required areas of training
Study pilot manuals, guides and Federal Aviation Regulations
Perform solo flights on required areas of training
Successfully pass a knowledge exam on required subject areas
Receive a recommendation from a flight instructor, and successfully complete a practical exam, which consists of an oral exam and flight test with an FAA inspector or designated examiner.
