Eagle Aviation Academy’s experienced instructors average over 1000 hours of dual instruction given.
Eagle has embraced the newest method of flight instruction which is known as Scenario based Training (SBT).

SBT, which has become industry standard, uses a script of real-world experiences to address flight training objectives. Unlike maneuver-based training wher individual maneuvers are relatively isolated and learned virtually out of context, SBT is about the big picture and the integration of all the elements necessary for successful flight. There are no “students”, only Pilots in Training (PIT) who learn that they are accepting a position of great responsibility. SBT is designed to allow PIT to exceed FAA standards and be ready to assume the responsibilities of a commercial pilot.

Pilots in training (PIT) progression from skill to skill with no significant delays or problems is expected.
All PIT are encouraged but not required to fly at least 2 times per week to continue in the program. The progress of each PIT depends on the of time they commit to training at Eagle Aviation Academy and to home study. Since certification is skill-and-knowledge based, PIT must demonstrate to their instructor a mastery of the measurable skills to progress through the phases of training. Our Certified Flight Instructors monitor and gauge the progress of the PIT based on their performance in the aircraft and during ground school sessions.

once a certain level of proficiency is reached, PIT must demonstrate their skills to another CFI before a phase check is conducted. During this flight, the CFI will determine if the PIT is ready for more advanced maneuvers.

PIT achieving solo flight status are nevertheless required to schedule periodic flights with an instructor to ensure their performance is progressing.
The final evaluation of the PIT is done by an independent FAA Designated Examiner, when they have satisfied all the Federal Aviation Administration Requirements necessary for their certification.

Eagle Aviation Academy, LLC is open 7 days a week for flight training.
Flights can be scheduled any time of day or night to accommodate a variety of work schedules. Full-time PIT can expect to fly up to twice a day if the weather permits. Ground school sessions can be scheduled around flights or work schedules.

PIT receive instruction on a one-to-one basis, and are not part of a class, though ground school may be taught to more than one PIT at a time if all the PIT present are at the same proficiency level.

PIT start and end dates are entirely dependent upon their progress through the course of study and their proficiency with the aircraft.

Eagle Aviation Academy is committed to the safety of our PIT, pilots and aircraft.
Therefore, scheduled flights WILL be cancelled if any of the following weather conditions occur:

Sustained winds of 20 kts or more for dual flights.
Sustained winds of 15 kts or more for solo flights.
    Extremely gusty winds.
    Density altitude over 8,000 feet.
In addition, there will be no autorotation training when the air temperature reaches 90 degrees or higher or when density altitude reaches 3,000 feet.
