The CF6-80E1 is the latest General Electric's CF6 model series, it equips the Airbus A330s. AFIKLM E&M has built up this capability in 2005 becoming the only MRO provider in Europe to provide both comprehensive maintenance and test runs for the CF6-80E1. AFIKLM E&M is now responsible for maintaining 25% of the worldwide fleet powered by the CF6-80E1.
The engine design is very similar to the CF6-80C2 engine model, with which it shares 60% of the parts. Our experience of more than 2,200 shop visits performed on the CF6-80C2 is the strong basis for our CF6-80E1 maintenance support.
With the introduction of this new engine type the availability of used materials and repairs are limited, but our organization is focused on developing new repairs standalone or together with the OEM. In combination with other material cost saving measures, we are able to reduce the overall maintenance cost of your engine.
