  • Description
  • FAA regulations require a commercial student pilot to have a current FAA Private Certificate, and hold at least a current FAA 2nd class Medical. They must be at least 18 years of age, and able to read, write, and speak the English language. At the time of the FAA Practical Test, the student must have gained a minimum of 250 total logged flight hours, which must include 100 hours of pilot-in-command (PIC) time, 10 hours instrument instruction, 5 hours of night PIC, 10 hours in a complex aircraft, 50 hours of PIC cross-country, including specified experience.

It is suggested that commercial students log 220 hours of flight time prior to this course. The total time for a full time student to complete this course as an initial commercial rating normally takes about 2 weeks. Allowances should be made for unforeseen circumstances like bad weather.

    Included in the Course:

    MULTI-ENGINE Commerical

     21 Hours of Flight in AMEL-Seminole

If an FAA Commercial Pilot certificate is already held, then the addition of another commercial pilot rating in a different class has few requirements, other than proficiency. No additional knowledge tests are required when adding a class to a current commercial pilot certificate.
