Utah Helicopter’s partnership with Charter College is designed for those who wish to become a commercial helicopter pilot. Students receive the training necessary to find jobs as commercial pilots or flight instructors in today’s demanding and booming aviation industry. All of Utah Helicopter’s instruction is done on a one-on-one basis which allows for a personalized training schedule for each student in their FAA approved part 141 curriculum. The challenge of flying a helicopter is like sitting on top of a large ball that you need to maneuver so that you don’t slip forward, backward, or to either side. Instead of thinking that this makes flying helicopters harder than flying fixed-wing aircraft, the Utah Helicopter philosophy sees helicopter piloting as an exciting, fun, multi-dimensional challenge. Rather than just managing the linear motion of an airplane, you “fly” a helicopter by being in constant control of opposing forces while you’re aloft mastering how to be “on the ball”.
