Beechcraft Corporation unveiled an American Bonanza Society (ABS) Sport Package option for the Beechcraft Bonanza G36 at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s 2016 AirVenture.

The factory option includes a custom interior and paint scheme that will be available starting in 2017 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the American Bonanza Society and the 70th anniversary of the longest continuously produced aircraft in history, the Beechcraft Bonanza.

Doug May, vice president, Piston Aircraft, debuted an interior mockup at the ABS annual meeting during EAA AirVenture.

The custom paint scheme incorporates the classic red and black Beechcraft colors with the ABS logo on the tail. The interior features black leather seats with contrast red stitching and the Beechcraft “B” and ABS logos throughout the cabin.

The Bonanza is the longest continuously produced aircraft in history with more than 18,000 delivered to date.

The six-seat Bonanza G36 is powered by a 300-horsepower Continental IO-550-B engine. It has a maximum cruise speed of 176 knots, a maximum range of more than 860 nautical miles, a 1,038-pound maximum payload and a 18,500-foot service ceiling. The glass cockpit features Garmin G1000 avionics with synthetic vision technology, satellite weather datalink and a GFC 700 flight control system, company officials note.
