Southwest Airlines announced on Thursday evening that it has reached an agreement-in-principle with its facilities maintenance technicians.

The five-year deal still needs to be approved by the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association’s executive committee before it is sent to the technicians for a ratification vote.

“We appreciate our Facilities Maintenance Technicians and their contributions to the success of Southwest Airlines,” said senior director corporate facilities John Zuzu. “This agreement recognizes their efforts, and it supports the needs of our operations and our Company.”
