HILLSBORO, Ore. — Max Lyons, Hillsboro Aviation president and CEO, has been appointed 2015-2016 chairman of the board of the Helicopter Association International (HAI).
“Hillsboro Aviation has been a member of HAI for over 30 years, during which I have witnessed the tremendous impact the association has on safety, legislation and the promotion of our industry on a global scale,” said Lyons. “I am honored to have been elected chairman of the board and look forward to serving the interests of the international helicopter community.”
Lyons, who first began working for Hillsboro Aviation in 1988 and purchased the company in 1999, says he is focused on expanding HAI’s membership services and strategies to mitigate future industry challenges.
“I am particularly interested in promoting awareness about looming industry staffing shortages, the promotion of women in the industry and the expansion of our international membership.”
In the spring of 2016, Lyons will host the HAI board of directors in Hillsboro for their annual board meeting.
