By late 2017, Russian Helicopters plans to complete construction of a training center for Mi-171SHs in Lima, Peru. Along with Russian defense company JSC Rosoboronexport, the company said it has found a contractor who will begin the process after Peru formalizes its side of the agreement.
With the purchase agreement for Mi-171SHs, Peru was offered an offset program. This included the organization of a technical service center and overhaul of the rotorcraft, and supply of integrated flight simulators for Mi-171SH crew and classrooms.
