Big Trijet Makes First NBAA-BACE Appearance with Completed Interior

Dassault Aviation’s new Falcon 8X has earned two additional certifications since entering service less than one month ago. The ultra-long range trijet is making its maiden appearance with a completed interior at this year’s NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) to be held November 1-3 in Orlando.

The new type approvals—from Brazil and the UAE—follow certification by the U.S. FAA and the EASA in June. Others, including from India, are expected shortly.

The first aircraft was handed over earlier this month to Greek operator AMJet Executive at Dassault’s Bordeaux-Mérignac facility on October 5. The 6,450 nm/

11,945 km Falcon 8X is also on track for additional deliveries to operators in a dozen countries, from Brazil, the U.S. and Europe, to the UAE and India, over the coming months.

As demonstrated during round the world trials earlier this year, the 8X comes to the market fully mature for service introduction. A few key performance parameters, such as take off distance and cabin noise, have even surpassed design objectives. In fact, the noise insulation improvements engineered into the 8X make it even quieter than the Falcon 7X, the quietest business jet currently in operation.

In addition to the quietest cabin and the most advanced digital flight control system in business aviation, the 8X features the largest selecion of standard cabin configurations of any large business jet. It will be available with a wide range of options, including an onboard shower and Dassault’s new FalconEye Combined Vision System, the first Head Up Display to combine synthetic and enhanced vision capabilities.

It will also come with a new integrated Electronic Flight Bag solution, Falcon Sphere II to be unveiled in Orlando this week. This new solution will greatly reduce the time and effort necessary to prepare and manage business jet missions.

Derived fro the popular Falcon 7X, the Falcon 8X will offer the greatest range and the longest cabin of any Falcon, allowing it to fly from Beijing to New York, Hong Kong to London or Los Angeles to Moscow nonstop. It will also share the 7X’s exceptional operating economy and short-field performance.

A Product Support Program Geared to Ensuring Smooth Entry into Service

Falcon 8X operators benefit from a full package of services put together by Dassault’s global product support organization to assist them in taking delivery of their new Falcon. The service package is customized to individual operator needs and starts well before the aircraft arrives in customer hands.

Prior to delivery, pilot and maintenance crews are given a full entry into service briefing on the new Falcon jet, tailored to the aircraft type and level of operator Falcon experience. Flight crews’ training is conducted by Dassault partner, FlightSafety International, on a new generation full flight simulator inaugurated in mid-September at the Falcon Training Center in Paris/Le Bourget. Cabin crews and passengers can follow one-day familiarization sessions – tailored to individual aircraft operating requirements – offered in cooperation with Aircare FACTS Training International.

Following delivery, the customer can make use of Dassault pilot operator support services to smooth entry into service. These services include dispatching Dassault test pilots, operational pilots or support engineers to the operator premises to provide support during initial flights or assist crews with special mission requirements.

Throughout the life of the aircraft, customers can rely on Dassault’s worldwide network of maintenance, repair and overhaul centers, spare parts centers and GoTeams. The network includes factory owned MRO facilities in Le Bourget, Little Rock, Reno, Nevada, Wilmington, Delaware and Sorocaba Brazil; 45 regional authorized service centers; 16 spares facilities and FalconResponse, the company’s comprehensive portfolio of Aircraft On Ground services that includes the industry’s first alternative lift offering.
