For the second year, AOPA Pilot is offering this exclusive analysis from Conklin and de Decker, a company that provides aircraft operating costs to those shopping for aircraft and other needs. This year turboprops are added to the list of business jets. Most variable costs are included. Some of the items included are unscheduled maintenance discrepancies, troubleshooting those discrepancies, scheduled maintenance that occurs during a 10-year time period, line replacement parts, labor to overhaul components, airworthiness and service bulletin compliance, on-condition maintenance labor for the airframe and avionics, and routine engine maintenance not covered by the Jet Support Services Inc. maintenance plan.
All cost estimates were provided exclusively to AOPA Pilot for its members and the public to use while shopping for aircraft at the National Business Aviation Association convention.
