Airbus Helicopters H125s and H130s are now set to have an Aviation Battery Systems solution included with each new delivery. The Arizona company said it has arranged with Airbus to have its StartStick included in the fly-away kits for new deliveries of light single helicopters.

The portable auxiliary power comes in both a 10-pound standard version and a 14-pound fleet model. The StartStick can start single and twin-engine aircraft multiple times before it needs a recharge. Also operational for avionics work as aux power supply, it comes with a two-year warranty and has an UN/DOT 38.3 durability certification.

StartStick can be plugged into a wall socket in a hangar to recharge, or it can be recharged mid-flight using onboard 28-volt connections. The company said the battery is already being used on air medical, corporate and law enforcement operations, among others, on both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft.
