Summit Aviation is expanding its aviation parts manufacturing operations in Somerset, Kentucky.

Summit’s manufacturing facility provides aero structure product assembly for a variety of military and commercial helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. Additionally, it has paint capabilities that support prime and finish components.

The company will expand from its current location of 26,000 square feet to a newly constructed 40,000 square foot facility.

“This is a proud moment for us,” said Director of Manufacturing for Summit Aviation Scott Roush. “In four years we have quadrupled our business, and this move allows for our continued growth.”

The facility is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
