With its Mi-171A2, Ansat and Ka-226T in tow, Russian Helicopters is attending the 8th International Airshow in Iran, which will close on Nov. 19. On the second day of the event, Russian Helicopters announced the signing of an agreement for control of certified repairs with Iran Helicopter Support and Renewal Co.

The control of certified repairs agreement will further define the roles each company will play in preparing for expanded authorization and certification in the effort to modernize Iran's fleet of Russian Helicopters aircraft. Should the plan for the Iranian Russian Helicopters maintenance center see fruition, the company may recognize it as an affiliate.

This agreement follows roadmap approval from Russian Helicopters for retrofitting the Mi-17 maintenance and overhaul canter in Iran, wher that helicopter is the most popular of Russian design. The new repair center is set to open at the Iranian company.
