The Leonardo AW169 has been added to Sloane Helicopters’ Part 145 maintenance approval for both line and base maintenance. The Leonardo-authorized service center expects to service its first of the model early next month.

Supporting Robinson Helicopter Co. and Leonardo in the U.K., Sloane Helicopters offers sales, engineering, flight operations and flight training services. It has been a Leonardo distributor and authorized service center for 21 years.

The Leonardo AW169 is a multi-role helicopter that can be used in operations including emergency medical service, law enforcement, offshore, utility, search and rescue, transport and training. Seating up to 10 passengers, the aircraft has a dual-pilot configuration. Its open architecture avionics suite features a full digital glass cockpit with enhanced transponder/ADS-B and other capabilities.
