Tips:TTFnews:A building company executive has made his own light aircraft and successfully test flown it in northern China, according to a news website report.
Yang Shijun took more than a year to build the plane, which he made in memory of his father who was a pilot, Xwh.cn reported.
Yang, 45, who comes from Changchun in Jilin province, took ten short test flights over the weekend.
The amateur pilot gained an altitude of 200 metres and was in the air for about 2½ hours, the report said.
The aircraft cost about 100,000 yuan (HK$125,000) to build.
