Us media has revealed that Donald Trump may have sold a private luxury helicopter without "funding".

US President Donald Trump has put one of his luxury private helicopters up for sale, according to media reports. The move is believed to be due to the loss of his "financial advantage" during the presidential election campaign.

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a well-known aircraft and helicopter manufacturer in the US, is the owner of this "presidential plane". The helicopter is s-76B, an all-weather medium civilian helicopter, India's Eurasia Times reported Wednesday. Eric Trump, Mr Trump's second son, previously said the family owned three helicopters, which were currently idle for a long time: "Dad is in Washington and we don't have that many". The last time Trump took the plane was before 2016, when he traveled to Cleveland to accept his party's nomination.

Although information about the parameters of The aircraft has been put up for sale, the website does not specify the price, the report said. According to people familiar with the matter, the Trump family's offer for the helicopter was $2.8 million, well above some media estimates. A previous Report by The New York Times put the value of the second phone at around $875,000. The latter, however, apparently does not take into account other "premium" factors.

CNBC has reported that Donald Trump has spent at least $750,000 renovating his private jet by hiring a well-known designer because of his distasteful style of the interior of the helicopter. The overhauled cockpit features leather seats, a drink bar, mahogany dining table, and 24-carat gold seatbelts and armrests.

But while the S-76 is billed as one of the "safest aircraft in the world", it has been involved in several major air accidents in recent years: former Lakers basketball star Kobe Bryant was killed in California in January aboard the same type of helicopter that Mr Trump was flying. There were also s-76 crashes in Canada in 2013 and In Turkey in 2017, killing four people and seven.
