Information of TTFly: Sichuan Airlines has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for 15 A320 airplanes, according to information released Friday on the website of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Sichuan Province.

On June 3, the governor of Sichuan Province Yin Li and several key officials made a visit to the headquarters of Airbus In Toulouse, France, accompanied by Sichuan Airlines Chairman Li Haiying.

The delegation visited the Airbus Final Assembly Line and boarded the newest A350 XWB aircraft, as well as talks with Airbus Chief Operating Officer John Leahy.

To accelerate the development of the aviation industry in Sichuan Province, Sichuan Airlines and Airbus signed a purchase agreement for 15 A320s, valued around 9 billion yuan.

Chairman Li Haiying inked the purchase agreement on behalf of Sichuan Airlines.

The Chengdu-based carrier operates the largest Airbus fleet in China with over 107 Airbus aircraft in service, including 23 A319s, 48 A320s, 26 A321s and eight A330s. It also plans to take another 100 aircraft over the next decade.
