Romania will buy extra Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcons from Norway to augment its fleet of F-16 aircraft previously bought from Portugal, Jane's Defence Weekly reported.
Romania is seeking to purchase 32 ROYAL Norwegian Air Force F-16s that will be sold in the country along with Lockheed Martin's F-35A Lighting II, Romanian Defense Minister Vasile Dincu said Dec. 10.
The contract is estimated to be worth 454 million euros ($513 million) and will see the F-16s enter service with the Romanian Air Force (RoAF) for 10 years.
