Information of TTFLY: Aviation Specialties Unlimited has completed its 1,000th FAA-approved night-vision cockpit modification on a Bell Helicopter 407GXP at Wysong Enterprises in Blountville, Tennessee, for MED TRANS Air Medical Transport. The air med operator was among the first units to have its entire fleet night-vision imaging systems compatible. ASU has modified 47 Bell 206s and 127 Bell 407s in 21 yr.

Derived from the Bell 407GX platform, the GXP was unveiled at Heli-Expo last year. Since then, Bell has taken its largest helicopter order ever with 200 GXPs to Air Methods. The manufacturer has also delivered the aircraft in various configurations to several worldwide customers, including China, Canada and Germany.
