NOVATO, California — Scanlon Aviation will host the second annual Safety Awareness Weekend at Gnoss Field on Oct. 20-23, 2016.
Headlining the event is Master Instructor Rich Stowell, the 2014 National FAASTeam Rep of the Year and 2006 National CFI of the Year.
The multi-day program offers several activities:
Oct. 20, 7 p.m.: Free FAA Wings-approved seminar with Rich Stowell
Oct. 21-23, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Hands-on upset recovery training with Rich Stowell
Oct. 22, 10:30 a.m.: Airport Open House and Young Eagles Rides
Oct. 22, 7:30 p.m.: Gala Dinner and Live Music on the Airport.

“For the second year in a row, NTSB has put loss of control on its general aviation ‘Most Wanted’ list,’” said Scanlon Aviation owner Patrick Scanlon. “We want to continue to be proactive in addressing this issue, while showcasing our airport to the local community.”
The Gnoss Field Safety Awareness Weekend is a cooperative effort between Scanlon Aviation, Gnoss Field Community Association, Avemco Insurance Company, Maserati of Marin, the Experimental Aircraft Association and and volunteers.
