GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Hold at least a private pilot certificate.
• Be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
• Hold at least a valid third-class medical certificate.
• Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test.
FLIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 50 hours cross country flight time as pilot in command:
-At least 10 hours must be in airplanes for an instrument airplane rating.
• A total of 40 hours actual or simulated instrument time:
-At least 15 hours of instrument flight training from an authorized flight instructor;
-One cross country flight in an airplane that is performed under IFR conditions and consists of :
-a distance of at least 250 nm;
-an instrument approach at each airport;
-three different kinds of approaches with the use of navigation systems.
• A total of 10 hours may be in an approved PCATD simulator.
