GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Be at least 18 years of age.
•Hold at least a private pilot certificate.
•Be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
•Hold at least a valid third-class medical certificate.
•Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test.
FLIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
•Have a total of at least 250 hours of flight time as a pilot that may include not more than 50 hours of flight simulator instruction in an FAA-approved simulator.
•The 250 hours total time must include:
-100 hours in powered aircraft - 50 hours must be in airplanes;
•100 hours pilot in command time to include:
-50 hours in airplanes
-50 hours cross country flight
•20 hours of flight instruction to include:
-10 hours of instrument - 5 hours in a single engine airplane
-10 hours in an airplane with retractable landing gear, flaps, and controllable pitch pitch propeller, or is turbine powered.
•One cross country of at least 2 hours in a single engine airplane in day VFR conditions consisting of a total straight line distance of more than 100 nm from original departure point
•One cross country of at least 2 hours in a single engine airplane in night VFR conditions consisting of a total straight line distance of more than 100 nm from original departure point
•10 hours of solo in a single engine airplane to include:
-one cross country of not less than 300 nm total with landings at a minimum of three points
-5 hours in night VFR conditions with 10 takeoffs and 10 landings at an airport with an operating control tower.
