Glacier Air specializes in teaching a very comprehensive Flight Instructor Rating Course to qualified, dedicated candidates. All candidates are interviewed by our Chief Flight Instructor prior to acceptance into the program. only candidates who are serious about teaching and have a passion to share the joys of flight should pursue a flight instructor rating.

The Flight Instructor Rating is designed to provide a Commercial Pilot with the additional knowledge and skills needed to teach others how to fly.

Prerequisites

To apply for the Flight Instructor Rating, you must hold a valid Canadian Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane, or Airline Transport Pilot Licence – Aeroplane. The minimum age for the issue of an Instructor Rating is 18.

Flight Training

All Flight Instructor Rating training is done one-on-one with a Class 1 or 2 Flight Instructor at the Squamish Municipal Airport. Please contact our Chief Flight Instructor, François Leh, for details.
