Quality

Our Quality Assurance Department maintains complete traceability of each part that goes into producing an Airmark Overhaul engine. From disassembly to final testing, each step of your engine overhaul is inspected and documented to assure you of the highest quality product.
Inspection
After disassembly all engines undergo a thorough cleaning process by chemical and/or mechanical means. This process will prepare your engine parts for numerous detailed inspection procedures. These detailed inspections are just some of the reasons that many parts not meeting Airmark Overhaul's critical inspection standards are replaced. All reciprocating and rotational parts are magnetic particle inspected, both circularly and longitudinally for surface and subsurface flaws. Ultrasonic testing is accomplished to the crankshafts, when applicable. Liquid penetrant testing is also utilized to detect flaws in nonferrous castings. All parts are inspected visually and dimensionally in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. Aluminum parts have a corrosion treatment applied, preserving the part against any future deterioration. All painted parts are coated with custom high temperature enamel paint.
Advantage
As an independent engine overhaul facility, Airmark Overhaul has an advantage over the original engine manufacturer. The OEM is limited to using their own parts but at Airmark Overhaul we can install what is determined to be the best and highest quality parts available for your engine. All of our engines are assembled to factory new fits and clearances. The manufacturer's 100% parts replacement criteria is Airmark Overhaul's minimum standard guideline.
Committment
Hydraulic lifters are flow matched to provide bleed-down rates that will enhance the performance of your engine. Connecting rods, pistons and counterweights are matched and balanced per the manufacturer's requirements. All engines overhauled by Airmark Overhaul incorporate a static and dynamic balancing of the internal rotational parts. This process considerably improves the life and operational characteristics of your engine. The improved parts balancing delivers a more efficient, powerful and smoother running engine with less wear on the parts than an engine that is not taken to the parameters of this process. This also reduces the vibrational effects that the pilot will experience in the cockpit.
Testing
Each engine is fully tested in our diagnostically equipped Test Cell and operated through its full power range to confirm that it meets or exceeds manufacturer's parameters set forth for that engine. We are one of the few shops that test cell run the turbocharged engines with the turbocharger installed thus verifying full power output. All pressures, temperatures and operational characteristics are verified so that when you receive your engine it is ready for installation with only minimal adjustments required when mounted into your airframe. All Mandatory Service Bulletins (MSB) and Airworthiness Directives (AD) are complied with at the time of overhaul.

We have airport access enabling you to fly in, have your engine removed, overhauled and reinstalled with a minimum of inconvenience. We guarantee you minimum downtime and also offer an exchange program to suit your needs. With a 20,000 square foot facility, we are here to serve and meet your needs in a timely and cost effective manner.

ENGINE POLICIES
Engine Core Return Policy
Engine Cores must be returned within 90 days of the date of the invoice to be eligible to receive full credit. Cores received after 90 days and up to 120 days of the date of the invoice will be discounted 25% of the core value. Cores received after 120 days and up to 180 days of the date of the invoice will be discounted 50% of the core value. If the engine core is received after the 180 days, it will be at the discretion of the management whether to accept or not. These policies are in effect, as Airmark has to purchase cores to replenish their stock if not returned by the customer in a timely manner. Airmark reserves the right to refuse to accept exchanged core returns that exceed the core return window.
The engine core must be active, assembled, complete and in operable condition. Engine cores must be returned with a valid data plate and must include the logbook with a total time removal entry. Engine cores that have experienced a minor or major failure, returned with missing parts, will be determined by Airmark the eligibility for core credit and shall be subject to a reduced core credit. Exchange core engine returns must be the same model configuration as the engine model ordered unless prior approval is obtained from Airmark. Airmark will make every attempt possible to retain and return every non-engine part left on the customers engine core return such as fittings, hoses, etc., but Airmark will not be held responsible for non-engine parts not recovered for return.
Engine Merchandise Return Policy
Engine deposits are non-refundable unless the customer cancels an exchange engine overhaul order or customer property repair/overhaul, within 3 business days after receipt of the deposit funds as these funds have been utilized to special order parts to repair or overhaul the engine. Any engine completed for a sale or order will not be accepted for return and payment will be due in full.
Engine Payment Policy
once an engine is invoiced, payment is due. Airmark reserves the right to take possession of any unpaid items left at our Repair Station for over 60 days in exchange for services rendered. All engines will be paid by check, bank certified funds or wire transfer. All funds must be cleared before engine is shipped.
Acceptable forms of payment are:
Wire transfer: Immediate release of engine upon receipt of wire transfer.
Bank certified check: 3 full business days required to clear.
In State Check: 3 full business days required to clear.
Out of State Check: 10 full business days required to clear.
Engine Limited Warranty
Airmark Overhaul, Inc. warrants their overhauled engines to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for period of 1 year from the date of overhaul or 480 hours, whichever occurs first, and accessories are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 180 days or 240 hours from the date of overhaul, whichever occurs first, and shall extend only to the purchaser.
The engine, excluding accessories, is further warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship by Airmark Overhaul, Inc. until the Manufacturers recommended overhaul period or two years from the date of overhaul, whichever occurs first, under a pro-rated basis on parts. Labor portion is pro-rated if work is performed by Airmark Overhaul, Inc. For the purpose calculating pro-ration, a minimum of 40 hours per month from the date of overhaul will apply. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, cracked cylinders and crankcases are excluded from all warranties unless it can be determined that the damage is a direct and proximate result of improper assembly by Airmark Overhaul, Inc.
Replacement or repair of Engine, Component, or Parts under this Limited Warranty will not extend the warranty period. Any repairs made by person(s) other than Airmark Overhaul, Inc. without the prior written consent of Airmark Overhaul, Inc., at the option of Airmark Overhaul, Inc., voids any remaining part of this Limited Warranty, wher, in the judgement of Airmark Overhaul, Inc. such repairs adversely affected the Engine. In no event, whether as a result of a breach of contract, warranty, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, shall Airmark Overhaul, Inc. be liable for any special, consequential, incidental or penal damages or expenses, including but not limited to loss of profit, goodwill, or revenues, loss of use of the product or any associated equipment, damage to associated equipment, cost of capital, cost of third parties for such damages or expenses.
The engine must be returned for warranty within 30 days from the date of the failure and must be returned in as removed condition. The warranty engine must be returned with Airmark's Warranty Return Form.
This foregoing Limited Warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties or remedies whether written, oral, implied, or statutory. Any and all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, course of dealing or usage of trade are hereby expressly disclaimed and excluded.
