Kunming Changshui International Airport operated a total of 1,011 flights on August 13, creating a new record for daily aircraft movements since the airport moved the site in 2012.


Kunming airport has registered a steady growth in passenger traffic and aircraft movements since August 1, handling around 130,000 passengers daily.

Kunming becomes the fourth airport in mainland China handling over 1,000 flights a day following Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Guangzhou Biayun International Airport.

Meanwhile, Kunming airport got ahead of 27 major airports in mainland China for high on-time performance in January-June.
