Police responded to a building at the Boeing facility for reports of a bomb threat Thursday morning.
According to Boeing officials, the threat was made to their new paint hangar which is still under construction.
The hangar is outside of their fence on the south side of the North Charleston campus.
"All personnel have been evacuated and are safe - their safety is our top priority," a Boeing statement read. "A joint team of local authorities and Boeing Security are evaluating the situation and inspecting the premises. once the evaluation is complete, authorities will determine if the building is safe to re-enter."
Boeing officials say about 300 employees and contractors were impacted by the evacuation. They were allowed to go back to work just after 3 p.m. as no bomb was found.
