A Memorandum of Agree has been signed between Boeing and Korean Air. They have agreed to work in partner to develop an unmanned attack platform from MD Helicopters MD500. Boeing has reported that they will provide technical support and together they will market it to the export market.

The project is based off of Korean Air’s success of remodelling their retired MD500s to unmanned helicopters and they aim to finish by 2017, reports Flight Global. The unmanned craft will be operable 24 hours a day, during any weather conditions and can be used to attack targets wher it is too dangerous to send manned crafts.
