An AirAsia Airbus A320-200, registration 9M-AFU performing flight AK6443 from Kota Bharu to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), was backtracking runway 10 for departure. While turning towards the right edge of runway 10 to turn around to line up runway 10 the nose and left main gear went off the right edge of the runway disabling the aircraft.

ADS-B data transmitted by the aircraft's transponder suggest the aircraft was moving at 25 knots over ground at the time the nose and left main gear departed the runway surface.
