China Southern Airlines is set to take delivery of the nation's first Airbus A320neo aircraft in mid-December, according to a source familiar with the matter.
According to a Weibo post by FATIII, China Southern's first A320neo, Registration B-8545, will arrive in Guangzhou on December 15 after the delivery ceremony in Toulouse, France on December 13.
In early 2015, China Southern signed an agreement with Dutch lessor, AerCap for 24 A320neo aircraft. Delivery of the A320neos to China Airlines is scheduled between 2016 and 2019.
In April 2016, an A320neo test aircraft, Registration D-AVVB (MSN6642), made its debut in China and conducted flying tests in Lijiang and Daocheng Yading, wher has world's highest airport.
