Tips:Delivery and discontinuation of old aircraft, Airbus increases production capacity for new aircraft

On December 16, 2021, Airbus delivered the last A380 to Emirates. This is the last A380 in Emirates' order and the last A380 produced by Airbus. Since then, there will no longer be a brand new A380 offline worldwide.

Of course, although the A380 has been discontinued, it does not mean that the aircraft will soon disappear from the route. At present, four operators around the world have made it clear that they will continue to operate A380 for at least the next few years. Including British Airways, which has gone back to fly 12 A380s, Australian Airlines, which plans to go back to A380 in 2022, and Singapore Airlines and Emirates, which are using A380s.

After the A380 is discontinued, Airbus plans to updat the aircraft's final assembly line to the A321neo final assembly line and put it into use within 2022.

Prior to this, the last A321ceo in the world has also been delivered off the assembly line. This marks the end of the more than 30 years of production history of the Airbus A320ceo series, and the production of this series of aircraft has fully entered the "neo era." At present, the order volume of Airbus A321neo is soaring, accounting for 45% of the total number of A320neo series orders, and this proportion may continue to increase in the future. This is why Airbus plans to transform the production line of A380 to increase the production capacity of A321neo.
