Aviation real estate specialist The Business Aviation Group was recently selected to redevelop a more than 16 acre-parcel at Dallas-area Addison Airport, following an RFQ process that attracted several bidders.
Initial plans call for a new
FBO complex co
nsisting of a 22,500-sq-ft, two-story terminal with a rooftop observation deck and restaurant, as well as 56,000 sq ft of hangar space capable of sheltering ultra-long-range business jets, along with complimentary office space. Another feature will be a separate indoor auto spa with lifts and valet service. A second phase of the development would see another 62,500 sq ft of aircraft storage and office space to accommodate flight departments in the growing region.
“Our vision is to design, develop and co
nstruct a world-class business aviation campus,” said Iver Retrum, company co-founder and partner, adding the project represents the largest such development ever initiated at the airport. “There is a need to support the co
ntinuing growth of the large-business-jet market within the region.”
In the next 60 days, The Business Aviation Group expects to name a strategic partner, which will manage the location and possibly co
ntribute to its design. Co
nstruction is slated to begin next year.
