Russian Helicopters’ Deputy CEO for Aftersales Service Igor Chechikov spoke on a new after-sales service format during Aero India 2017, the company said. The ultimate goal is to improve overall cooperation with foreign customers, but Russian Helicopters chose to pilot the system in India.
“For us, it is important to provide timely and quality service for Russian helicopters in India. As part of the ‘single-window system,’ the holding company and parts suppliers for Russian-made helicopters will develop a complete structure of services for such helicopters for foreign operators,” Chechikov said. “We will implement these acquired best practices into the global after-sales system of Russian Helicopters.”
The new system involves centralization of all after-sales processes so customers no longer have to negotiate with dozens of parts manufacturers. Processes include integrated support and transitioning to service contracts covering the aircraft’s entire lifecycle. Russian Helicopters also said its plans to partner with other Russian companies in manufacturing aircraft to ensure operability during the lifecycle.
